How to add debugging to SmartCharts

Product: SmartCharts Type: How to

This article describes how to add debugging to SmartCharts.

You can add console level debugging to the charts and follow what the scripts are doing as they execute. This debugging also has a graphical view where you can see graph properties such as size, type and dataset values.

There are a number of built in debugging techniques you can read about in the documentation. Here is the quickest way to get started.

Add these lines of code to your script:

FusionCharts.debugMode.enabled(true);
FusionCharts.debugMode.outputTo(function(){ console.log(arguments);});
FusionCharts.debugMode.outputFormat('verbose');

For further information please review the Fusioncharts debugging docs, at http://docs.fusioncharts.com/charts/contents/Debug/JS.html.
