Why does the current Catapult version number appear to be lower than other recent releases?

Product: Catapult Type: Frequently Asked Question

We recently changed the format of the release levels for our products to more accurately reflect the caliber of changes they include. Due to this change, the current 'technically' correct version levels may in some cases appear to be older than the version they followed.

For example, Catapult version 7.10.0 came out just after 7.9.0, which followed the last version on the old format - 7.82.

Version 7.9.0 actually corresponds to 7.09.0, and in that light, our current release (7.10.x) makes sense. But if you're coming from 7.82 to 7.10.0 we understand how you might be wondering what's going on!

We will be moving to Catapult 8.0 soon which will clear this up. In the meantime, if you aren't sure whether the version available for download is newer than what you currently have installed, just call Technical Support. KB article 5595 lists how to check the version number of all our products.
