Using the Allow DSPF to time out option causes ProGen help to stop working.

Product: ProGen Plus Type: How to

Problem

Using the refresh feature in ProGen causes the help to stop working.  This is because the help program passes the record format name to the help program which allows the help program to retrieve the associated message. The invite keyword that is used in for the refresh feature blanks out the display format name.

Work around:

Add a context to $$HELP if you don't already have one. To see instructions on how to add a context see 15475

For flat panels:

Add the action:

UPDFLD     *DSPFRFMT  <--*PNLID

For subfiles:

Determine if the cursor row is in the subfile control or the subfile record. You can do this by checking the cursor row.

If the cursor row is in your subfile control, add the line:

UPDFLD     *DSPFRFMT  <--'SUBRCD@@'

If the cursor row is in your subfile, add the line:

UPDFLD     *DSPFRFMT  <--SUBRCD@@
