Product: WebSmart ILE Type: How to

The web server for WebSmart, Presto and Nexus can be restarted in the green screen or in the HTTPAdmin web interface.

Green Screen

You can stop a web server with the following command:

ENDTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(JOBNAME)

You'll need to replace JOBNAME with the job name for the product you're ending the server for (usually WEBSMART, XL_PRESTO or XL_NEXUS).  If you need to find the job name, you can run WRKACTJOB and look for jobs running under the subsystem QHTTPSVR.

Once you've confrmed the jobs have ended in WRKACTJOB, you can start the server back up with the following command:

STRTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(JOBNAME)

Open WRKACTJOB to confirm it started.

HTTPAdmin Web Interface

Go to http://YourServerName:2001/HTTPAdmin (replacing YourServerName with the name or IP of your server) and log in with your IBM i login information.

Click on "HTTP Servers" at the top.

Select the product's web instance from the dropdown in the list (usually WEBSMART, XL_PRESTO or XL_NEXUS).

Click the Start, Stop or Restart button.  If you're starting or restarting you should click the Refresh button to confirm that it started up properly.
