When upgrading repositories in a linked repository set up do they need to be removed from the setup first?

Product: X-Analysis Type: How to

When upgrading the base repository, the linked repositories associated with it do not get upgraded automatically.

When the base repository is selected after upgrade, the linked repositories of non matching version shall get ignored.

However, if the linked repositories have also been upgraded to same version, before attempting to select the base repositories, they will get linked.

So, no need to remove and add the repositories, but user will have to ensure to upgrade the base as well as linked repositories to same new version.
