How can I upgrade to Newlook version 10?


The following Blog article provides step by step instructions on migrating to version 10 :

Below is a summary of the suggested steps :

  • Download our latest version 10 of Newlook Developer from our customer portal i.e. http://www.myFrescheSolutions.com
  • If you don't have version 10 Developer license you can email support to obtain a temporary code.
  • Once you have installed Newlook developer, copy across your solution files to C:\ProgramData\newlook 10.x folder
  • Start Newlook developer launch the runtime window and run through your host application with your solution files to verify funcitonality. We recommend sufficient testing to make sure all functionality is correct. 
  • When you are ready to upgrade your business users, please complete the Transfer of License form and email your account manager or info@freschesolutions.com to obtain permanent license

CAB files are provided for each version. You may obtain the CAB files from the downloads section of the customer portal. Once you have obtained new CAB files create a new deployment folder, copy in the program CAB files required (minimum of newlook.cab and nlmain.cab) and then copy your solution CAB files and necessary installation HTML pages. 

Be sure to update any HTML references within your installation HTML files to point to the new installation folder and version of Newlook being installed.
