Will a "select" statement continue parsing "when" clauses after the first match?

Product: WebSmart ILE Type: Frequently Asked Question

Question:
Will a "select" statement continue parsing "when" clauses after the first match?

Answer:
Once a "select" statement finds a matching "when" clause, execution is advanced to the end of the "select" statement. This means that if two "when" clauses match, only the first one will be executed.
