Will WebSmart remember my custom functions and service programs after an upgrade?

Product: WebSmart ILE Type: Frequently Asked Question

Custom service programs are implemented by adding them to the ESPTBNDD binding directory using the WRKBNDDIRE BNDDIR(XL_WEBLIB/ESPTBNDD) command. Your programs should still have access to them after an upgrade.

The other concern would be your custom user source files and members, like UPARSER, USUBPROTOS and UINDEX, but a WebSmart upgrade should retain those as well.

The was confirmed using a WebSmart 11.6 upgrade. Although, some earlier versions of WebSmart were not as generous and in the event these objects were not copied, you can copy these objects back to XL_WEBLIB from the back-up library you specified during the install process.
