What binding directory can I use when adding my own modules and service programs to WebSmart ILE?

Product: WebSmart ILE Type: Frequently Asked Question

In WebSmart we have binding directories in our product library, XL_WEBLIB.  To see them you can use the command:
WRKBNDDIR BNDDIR(XL_WEBLIB/*ALL)

Depending on how long you've owned WebSmart, you may have only a couple or you may have several.  The list will look something like this:
ECRTBND207
ECRTBND208
ECRTBND212
ECRTBND213
ECRTBND214
ESPTBNDD

You should have a binding directory for every version you've owned. These shouldn't be used to add your own programs to our binding directory though.  The very last one in the list ESPTBNDD  is the one you should use to include your programs during the binding process.  We always inlcude ESPTBNDD in the binding process.

If you were to use one of the others (ECRTBND###) every time you upgrade, you would have to re-add your programs to the new versions binding directory.   Using ESPTBNDD elimnates that worry.

To work with ESPTBNDD you can:

Take an option 9 on it from the WRKBNDDIR BNDDIR(XL_WEBLIB/*ALL) panel
or
WRKBNDDIRE XL_WEBLIB/ESPTBNDD
